Vietnam War Uniforms
Summary: Material wasmade of special canvas andrubber jungle boots. The fabric was breathable, and allowed protection against biting insects. Fiberglass plates were inserted into the battle vests. These vests were heavy and many men werewounded when they removed their jackets.
Hats:
Americans wore a brush style hat while Vietnamese wore a wide brimmed hat “Stetson Style hat” better adapted to the extreme wet, hot and sunny conditions.
